Krupa is a board-certified pediatrician and mother of 3 whose mission is to create a safe space with practical, educational content for parents. Social media and the internet can be powerful, but they can also be a mine of misinformation. Dr. Playforth believes every parent deserves clear, evidence-based, nuanced answers from an expert, so she created The Pediatrician Mom, a resource that provides free guides on a range of common parent questions. She is also the author of a new toddler book that teaches about the human body in all its wonder and diversity. In early 2024, Dr Playforth founded her own practice, Warm Heart Pediatrics, which attempts to return to a traditional old-school vision of pediatric care: prioritizing long-term relationships with families and patients while removing some of the barriers to time, access and quality that frustrate most parents.
